| How to Use the
Auto-News Admin Area |

Story Title:
This is what you will be
naming the news story when the viewer of the website is to
click on the link. |
|
Text Format:
Use Text Format unless using
completely HTML code in the Story Body field. |
|
Story Body:
This is the Body of the news
story. Type all of the information you would like to
be read on the news story here. |
|
Picture Count:
This will determine how many
pictures your news story will contain, by choosing any
other selection other than "None" you are required to
click "Select Layout". |
|
Select Layout:
When you click on this button,
a window will appear with different layouts for the news
story to post the picture within the body. (See below for
diagram of the window.) |
|
Pictures:
This will do nothing unless
you are editing a news story. If you are editing a
news story, this will display any pictures included on the
news story. |
| Submit:
Allows you to post the news
story you are working on. If there is a mistake you
notice after submitting, you can always go to the "Stories
Posted" list and click on the title of the news story, it
will then bring it up for editing. |

| If you have chosen to upload a picture, this is the window that appears. |
|

|
Picture Layout:
This is window that lists all
different ways to post your news story with pictures on
it. |
|
Different Layouts:
The pictures you see are the
different ways you can choose to have the news story post
the picture within the document. |
|
Select:
This selects the layout of the
news story with picture. |
|
|
|

|
Stories Posted on the
Website:
This is where it tells the
news stories that have already been uploaded to the
website. |
|
Posted By:
This announces who posted the
story. |
|
Posted On:
This announces when the news
story was posted. |
|
Pictures:
This announces if the news
story contains any pictures within the content of it. |
|
Active:
This is how you will know if
viewers of the website can see the news story, If the news
story is not ready to be posted on the internet, uncheck
this box. |
|
View Story:
This allows you to view the news story as the public sees
it. |
|
Delete Story:
This allows
you to completely remove the news story from the database.
You will no longer be able to bring the news story back or
edit the news story. |

| If you have chosen to upload a picture, this is the window that appears. |
|

|
Picture:
This is where it tells the
location of the picture. |
|
Browse:
If you do not know the
location of the picture, click this button and search for
it on your computer. |
|
Upload:
This uploads the picture to
the database so it will be viewable on the news story. |
|
|
