General Overview of Admissions Process

Admission to Chaminade-Julienne Catholic High School is open to any student who seeks to embrace a faith-filled life and undertake a stimulating academic curriculum. There are no specific entrance requirements for admission - that is to say, there is no minimum grade point average or standardized test score required to be accepted at Chaminade-Julienne. Rather, we examine an applicant's academic record on an individual basis and determine the potential for success at C-J.

Most students who apply are accepted, particularly those who have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and have attended Catholic elementary schools. However, about 16 percent of our students come from public or non-Catholic private schools.

There are two application processes for incoming freshmen - one for students who attend Catholic elementary schools and another for students who attend public or non-Catholic private schools. Below are application timelines for both groups. For more information on these procedures, contact C-J's admissions director at 461-3740 ext. 210.

Should you inquire after the dates listed on the timelines below, don't panic. However, you should realize that time is of the essence. We have a "rolling admissions" policy, meaning that we accept applications for incoming freshmen up until the first day of classes (August 22 for 2002-03 school year). Admissions and transfers after the first day of school are discouraged, but will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the principal. Generally, 80 percent or more of incoming freshmen adhere to our timelines.

High school students seeking transfer to C-J are handled on an individual basis. Generally, transfer applications are not examined until the school year is over (late June/early July). These students should contact the admissions office for more information.

I've read about link exchanges a lot recently. I've seen a lot of people who say that their predictions that link exchange would stop working saying that they were right, and that they don't work, and that they in fact hurt your website. Let's stop right there. Proclaiming the death of link exchanges is still a little premature.
