01101 ART 1
CREDIT: 1, 1 YR, GR 9-12, ELECTIVE, Fee: $30.00

Prerequisite: Art test and permission of the department chairperson. This course is offered to the student who is interested in and enjoys art and wants to learn the basics of drawing. Exploration of many media and techniques will be offered. Emphasis will be placed on drawing, design, color theory, and perspective. The goal of this class is for the student to gain skills in and to develop an appreciation of art. This course is geared to prepare the student for Art 2. Enrollment is limited.
 
01102 ART 2
CREDIT: 1, 1 YR, GR 10-12, ELECTIVE, Fee: $30.00

Prerequisite: 85% average in Art 1 and Art teacher's signature.
This course is designed to expand upon the skills and fundamentals learned in Art 1. Continued development of art awareness will be enhanced with emphasis placed on the portfolio development, more complex art assignments, and continued development of skills. The student will begin using oil-based inks and paints as well as begin working in photography.
 
01103 ART 3
CREDIT: 1, 1 YR, GR 11-12, ELECTIVE, Fee: $30.00

Prerequisite: 85% average in Art 2 and Art teacher's signature.
Art 3 is offered to those students who have a high interest in art and have demonstrated the capacity to problem-solve creatively. Students will be introduced to more advanced techniques in painting, drawing, and printmaking during Art 3. The student will continue to build a working portfolio. Students need to maintain their own art supplies in addition to the items supplied by the art fee.
 
01104 HONORS ART 4
CREDIT: 1, 1 YR, GR 12, ELECTIVE, Fee: $30.00

Prerequisite: 85% average in Art 3, Art teacher's signature, and the intent to work on a portfolio.
Students at this level will be expected to prepare their portfolios for college entry, scholarship competition, and local exhibitions. Each student will work on general portfolio guidelines as well as more specific individual needs that they have. The student in Art 4 will be required to submit 4 slides of their work and participate in the "Criticism Open" as part of their final grade. Student supplies are supplemented by the art fee. Students are encouraged to take the Advanced Placement Examination in Art.
 
01201 INTRODUCTION TO CERAMICS
CREDIT: 1/2, 1 SEM, GR 9-12, ELECTIVE, Fee: $25.00
Prerequisite: Art test and permission of the department chairperson.
This course will involve the student in the development, creation, and evaluation of three-dimensional forms in clay. This course stresses hand building techniques for sculptural and pottery pieces, but will also acquaint the student with tile-making and throwing simple shapes on the wheel. The student's personal expressive style will be explored and encouraged. Enrollment is limited.
 
01301 THREE DIMENSIONAL DESIGN
CREDIT 1/2, 1 SEM, GR 9-12, ELECTIVE, Fee: $25.00
Prerequisite: Art test and permission of department chairperson.
This is a semester-long studio course designed to teach techniques for the design, creation, and appreciation of sculpture and other 3 dimensional works. The student will create projects from a variety of media and subject matter. The student's personal expressive style will be explored and encouraged. The elements and principles of design will be emphasized. Enrollment is limited.
 
01501 FINE ARTS/ART APPRECIATION
CREDIT 1/2, 1 SEM, GR 9-12, ELECTIVE
This course is intended to provide students with a basic understanding and appreciation of art. In addition to the study of art, students will also gain hands-on experience through quarterly projects which focus on the creative process. This is a one semester art course that alternates with music appreciation. Both courses must be taken to fulfill the Fine Arts requirement.

I've read about link exchanges a lot recently. I've seen a lot of people who say that their predictions that link exchange would stop working saying that they were right, and that they don't work, and that they in fact hurt your website. Let's stop right there. Proclaiming the death of link exchanges is still a little premature.
