WESPATT Roll Sheaves incorporate a proven rope groove design which helps the
carrier ropes provide both the grip that is necessary for efficient tail
threading plus the proper tension on the carrier ropes. Constructed of
fine grain cast iron, WESPATT roll sheaves provide years of trouble free
threading life.

- WSH108 Fixed Roll Sheaves mount to the roll, rotate with it and match
roll to rope speed. Mounts on the face of the roll:
WSH112 Fixed Roll Sheaves mount to the journal.

- WSH115 Free Wheeling Roll Sheaves contain precision bearings
permitting the rope speed to be independent of the roll speed for
disengagement of the threading system when not in use.
- WSH118 Free Wheeling Roll Sheaves, Clutch Driven, contain a one
way overriding clutch arrangement, to allow the carrier ropes to drive the
roll until sheet is stabilized. Sheave becomes free wheeling when rope
drive is slowed down or stopped.

- WSH116 Split Free Wheeling Roll Sheaves permit easy mounting and
removal of rope sheave without the need for removing roll bearings.
Greatly reduces time spent on roll sheave bearing maintenance.

Standard material for roll sheaves is cast iron. Stainless steel is
optional. Custom designed and available in single, double or triple rope
assemblies.
To permit us to quote your specific application, please send us a drawing or
sketch of the face of your roll, journal dimensions, rope path and the type of roll sheave needed.
CAUTION: Dependent upon the roll journal diameter and type of sheave requested,
free wheeling roll sheaves may be the longest lead time item in a rope threading
system and should be scheduled as such.
